KATRA kicks off its 12th year with the red carpet premiere of acclaimed international filmmaker Daniel Diosdado’s American debut feature “The Nomad”. Join us next Wednesday February 22nd at 6pm EST for the screening at the Regal Essex Crossing Cinema in the Lower East Side. The movie screening will be followed by Q&A with filmmakers/cast members and then a fun afterparty!

The Nomad made it into the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival where it took home the award  for Best Producer and Best Actress for Lauren Biazzo!

Lauren had an incredible time shooting for the movie 'Somewhere in Queens' with Ray Romano. Making him laugh with her improv was definitely a very memorable moment for her.

The movie is set to release in select theaters on April 21st. It debuted in the Tribeca Film Festival in 2022.

Lauren wrote, produced and starred in her very own short film. Along side her good friend Matthew Campanella (Director, co-writer & co-producer) they were able to bring this gut-wrenching story to life. Be on the look out for it soon!
